We aim for the highest possible standards for our customers to enjoy, whilst respecting our beautiful but ecologically sensitive surroundings. So we take our memberships of the different organisations seriously, which help us to achieve these goals.

This indicates that the English Tourism Council has graded our holiday touring and camping facilities three star.

We are a full member of the British Holiday & Home Parks Association, which represents the parks industry and helps it to develop common high standards.

The park has been graded by the English Tourism Council as fully accessible to wheelchairs without assistance. We are now working towards making our facilities as user friendly as possible to people with other kinds of disability.

This scheme broadens the focus of building sustainable tourism to include every kind of tourism business in a community. We are the first park or marina in the whole of the East of England to become a scheme member and have so far been given a silver award. We are now working to achieve the gold standard whilst encouraging other tourism businesses in beautiful Burgh to join us in supporting the scheme.

We are a full member of the Yacht Harbour Association, which sets standards for the marina industry. The aim of our marina upgrading programme is a five anchors award.

We have won one silver and seven gold awards in the David Bellamy Conservation Scheme, which recognises park owners who show responsibility for careful development including habitat creation and conservation management.

We are a member of The East of England Tourist Board and also of the Norfolk alliance for promoting the discovery of Norfolk's many and varied attractions. We train our staff to be friendly and effective in helping customers to discover the best of Norfolk, especially through the displays and literature in our permanent exhibition and information centre, including our in- house "Explorer Guide" leaflets to many quiet rural activities ashore and afloat.

We have joined the industry scheme, under which all newly sited park homes are sold with a construction and siting 10 years warranty, similar to the NHBC scheme for new conventional houses.

Finally, we think it is important to be good members of and neighbours in our own local community. Currently, we do this in three ways:-

  • by using local suppliers and services wherever feasible in developing our business
  • by supporting local art, conservation and history groups through our annual programme of visiting exhibitions
  • by working with a local primary school to bring children onto the park for field studies
